Point de chainette embroidered in rosebud motif on white silk waistcoat, pre-embroidered, glazed wool calamanco lining edged with linen, France, CH 37", W 37", L 22.5", (stains/discoloration, red thread embroidery loss, tiny holes, tiny-0.5" holes lining) very good- excellent. Provenance: Thomas Edes Jr. (August 15, 1762 - April 5, 1818. In this vest he married on the November 26, 1788 Mary Ball Gaft. The Costume Collection of the National Society for the Colonial Dames of America.
