Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum. Provenance: Worn by Mrs. David Wallerstein (née May Wechsler, 1866-1942). The wearer was born in New York, NY. She married David Wallerstein (1865-1931) of Richmond in New York in 1891, where the couple remained until at least 1900. The federal census lists the wearer's residence in Richmond, VA from 1910.
