1 Spanish sampler dated "Diciembre 1835" in 3 vertical bands, worked w/ colorful floss in cross stitch, satin stitch & pulled thread work, motifs include geometrics, alphabet, animals & flowers, 18" x 29"; 1 c. 1700 German (?) white on white sampler, 25 blocks to bottom 1/3, each w/ different drawn thread work patterns, top 2/3s w/ Dresden work embroidered florals, each w/ drawn work details, 8" x 23", (both lightly stained, mends) very good.
