1 ecru wool broadcloth military waistcoat, hand sewn in backstitch, c. 1850, buckle stamped "Patent 1854", button backs stamped "Robinsons Jones & Co.", CH 40.5", W 37", L 21.5", (1" stain left armscye, scattered tiny spot stains & holes, cluster of 0.25"-0.75" holes left CH, light lining stains) fair- good; 1 black patterned silk waistcoat w/ stylized octothorp motif, patterned silk velvet covered buttons, glazed twill backing, lined in cotton, buckle stamped "Patent 1855", CH 38.5", W 37", L 15", (wear at pockets & armscyes, few tiny spot stains, stains to armscye linings) very good.
