2 mohair velvet bags w/ elaborate beaded tassels, tablet woven borders & ties, probably for dowry, central Asian most likely Uzbekistan or Afghanistan, mid 20th C: 1 striped, 6.25" x 7.25" w/ 2.25" tassels, (1 stripe of velvet pile worn CF, pink tassel worn & matted CF, braided strap partially torn for 1.75", drawstrings fraying, wear) & 1 maroon, 6.75" x 7" w/ 2.5" tassels, (light wear); 1 urban Syrian midnight navy & tan velvet, w/ appliquéd cord & metallic & cotton tassels, 19th C, 9" x 11", (light wear to applied braid trim, lame tassels very worn, tiny spot stains throughout) good- excellent.
