Printed silk voile in chine inspired spot motif diagonal grid, front bodice gathered at SH into deep gathers at CF W, single embroidered button at CF neck, short cap sleeve w/ edged w/ box pleated frill, piped at neck, SH seam armscye & W, full skirt cartridge pleated to W band, fabric most likely French, 1840-1850, B 34", W 22", L 52", (silk shattering, button at collar worn, 0.75" repair left CF W, 1.75" tear CB W, 6" & 4" tears across SHs) fair-poor; t/w 1 blue corselet, c. 1870, B 30", L 6"-12.5".
