Patterned cream silk evening cloak w/ raised weft in classical stylized leaf & undulating band motif on satin ground, natural ostrich feather rows applied to silk organza bands at neckline & above hem, lined in pale peach panne velvet, label"Paquin Made in France, Hiver 1924-1925, Paris, Londres Buenos-Aires” original design by Madeleine Wallis, Ete 1924, croquis held in V&A Collection accession # E.4145-1957. Described as "White evening cloak with gold lame brocade pattern & ostrichfeather trimming", SH-SH 19", L 52", (3" seam opening b/t lining & left lapel, bent & missing feathers, few tiny spot stains & pulls, tiny-0.5" holes & repaired seams all to lining) very good. PACKING/SHIPPING/INSURANCE: The cost of packing and shipping of purchased lots is the responsibility of the purchaser. All shipments are sent via UPS, FedEx or the United States Postal Service and insured for the hammer price. Lots won by successful online Bidders will be shipped automatically to the address provided on your Bidsquare registration form once shipping and packaging fees are paid. The total cost will be charged to the credit card on file or paid directly through Live Auctioneers. Due to the volume of shipping anticipated after the sales event, packing and shipping may require up to fourteen (14) business days from receipt of cleared payment. Once the package has been shipped, any shipping related issues or claims are between the shipper and the purchaser. Augusta Auction Co. shall not be responsible for any acts or omissions in the packing and shipping of purchased lots.
