1855-1880s: 1 black cisele velvet dolman style jacket w/ brown patterned ground & bud motif, stand collar, CF opening & hem trimmed w/ black chenille & covered corded spheres, label "Maison Dieulafait", SH-SH 17", L 25"-29.5", (W tie detached, slight fringe loss) excellent; 1 handmade fine wool taupe SH cape, SH-SH 16", L 18"-22", (3 tiny holes right CF & 1 right SH, CB trim loose) very good; 1 handmade purple silk taffeta dolman style cape w/ 3 tiered brocaded ribbon ruffles, SH-SH 16", L 22.5"-29", (trim detaching 4.5" right SH, 0.75" & 1" seam openings at left CF, discoloration at CF) very good; 1 purple to green quilted changeante cape, SH-SH 18.5", L 27.5", (shattering & worn edges, fading, 3.5" seam opening left CF, tiny-1" holes in lining) fair.
PACKING/SHIPPING/INSURANCE: The cost of packing and shipping of purchased lots is the responsibility of the purchaser. We have added personnel to our staff to pack and ship lots purchased by on-line Bidders. A fee of $15 ($25 for international shipments where customs forms are required) is charged for packing & handling of each lot. In addition, the actual cost of shipping & insurance will be charged to your account or invoiced to your Live Auctioneer account. All shipments are sent via UPS, FedEx or the United States Postal Service and insured for the hammer price. Lots won by successful online Bidders will be shipped automatically to the address provided on your Bidsquare registration form once shipping and packaging fees are paid. The total cost will be charged to the credit card on file or paid directly through Live Auctioneers.
Due to the volume of shipping anticipated after the sales event, packing and shipping may require up to fourteen (14) business days from receipt of cleared payment. Once the package has been shipped, any shipping related issues or claims are between the shipper and the purchaser. Augusta Auction Co. shall not be responsible for any acts or omissions in the packing and shipping of purchased lots.
