1 grey-brown & white figured gauze dress in five lobed leaf, floral & bud motifs in dense horror vacui pattern, square neckline, cap short sleeve w/ detachable long bell sleeves, box pleated black gauze ribbon w/ white Van Dyke edging in rows to neckline, cap sleeve edge & in double row at cuff of bell sleeve, CB black silk thread covered button closure, full skirt knife pleated w/ cartridge pleats at CB, possibly half mourning, 1850-1855, B 33", W 22.5", L 51.5", (2" hole right underarm, shattering around hem) good; t/w white silk taffeta bodice.
