Black wool, floor length, pale orange cartouche shaped shoulder appliques w/ gold soutache & bead & jewel Lesage embroidery, high band collar, double row of welted button holes at either side of opening, unlabeled except for shop label "ImporterJosephine Smith, Springfield, Mass", pale orange lining, (stitching at back of 1 button hole coming undone & toggles for button holes missing) excellent. Authenticated as Schiaparelli at FIT Costume Museum.
