3-pc dress of pink chambray: tunic style bodice w/ overlay gathered to belt, front lapel collar edged w/ crochet lace, crochet & embroidered inlaid dickie w/ high fitted lace collar & back jabot, crocheted buttons & inserts at edges, cuffs & to applied undulating skirt decoration, B 36", W 25", L 20.5-24", (light staining to SHs & collar); skirt W 26", L 38", (tiny stains above CB hem); original petticoat w/ matching crocheted insert above embroidered hem flounce, W 29", L 30", (tiny spot stains) all very good. Provenance: Mary "Mimi" Sherwood Hedrick (1878-1960), wife of Redfield Proctor, Jr., (1879-1957), 59th Governor of Vermont (1923-1925).
